Mrs. Loosbrock and four amazing 5th Grade Students from Stratford Elementary were able to attend the Region II Principals Leadership Conference last Tuesday at UNO. All five elementary schools from Bennington were represented. They were joined by students from metro Omaha area school districts. Skip Bailey, the Director of Flight Training, Chief Ground Instructor, and Flight Team Head Coach for the Aviation Institute, was the featured speaker. Following the message, students were able to attend multiple breakout sessions to help grow their leadership!

Communication is key. Please be sure you are notifying the office staff by either calling 402-238-2941 or emailing Kwitt@bennps.org, LWest@bennps.org and your teacher(s) that your child(ren) will be out sick or gone for the day. One email to all of us is perfect.
If you're just running late or your student is coming in after an appointment, we would like to know. We just want to make sure all of our Stratford stars are accounted for.
In deciding whether your child should come to school, please keep the following guidelines in mind.
Any child with these symptoms should NOT come to school:
-
Fever of 100 or higher; children should not return to school until fever-free for 24 hours without the use of medication
- Vomiting or diarrhea within the past 24 hours
Thank you for your help in keeping our students and staff healthy!

We have truly enjoyed welcoming all the parents/grandparents who have joined their children/grandchildren for lunch at our school. As our school continues to grow, we are closely monitoring our lunch capacity, and we may need to limit visits in the future due to increasing student numbers. To ensure we can accommodate everyone, we kindly ask that you call ahead.
Please remember to let the office know if you plan on eating a hot or alternate lunch with your child so we can inform the kitchen staff. We ask that you let us know before 10:00 am. After that you will need to bring cold lunch or just sit and visit. The cost of an adult lunch is $4.90, and we ask that you bring exact change. If you don't have exact amount, any remaining change will be added to your child's MySchoolBucks lunch account. Please note that you cannot pay for your meal with your child's lunch number. You are welcome to bring a cold lunch from home, but please refrain from bringing fast food—save that for the evening meals. Your child can only bring ONE friend to join you at the visitor's table.
**Please refrain from putting fast food in student lunch boxes.**
Stratford's lunch times are as follows:
Kindergarten: 11:00-11:30
Second Grade: 11:30-12:00
First Grade: 11:45-12:15
**Fourth Grade: 12:00-12:30
**Third Grade: 12:15-12:45
Fifth Grade: 12:30-1:00
**Due to Cafeteria Capacity, 3rd and 4th grade visitors may be seated in a conference room depending upon the day**
